Turkey drive in DeKalb County
Councilmember Michael Julian Bond is hosting a Turkey "grab and go" event this afternoon at 3 p.m. will hold a food distribution event on Tuesday, Nov. 23. The event will be held at Second Helpings Atlanta, 970 Jefferson Street NW.

Registration has begun for the holiday book challenge with DeKalb County Public Library. Get ready to curl up with a good book and log your reading and other library activities in order to earn virtual badges.
New cash platform for Atlanta schools
A new cash platform is launching soon for Atlanta Public Schools (APS.) SchoolCash Online will be used to make purchases online for field trips, spirit wear, activity fees, and more. This new initiative will eliminate the use of cash and checks from students and parents.

Mini camp in DeKalb County for fall break
DeKalb County's Park and Recreation and Cultural Affairs is offering a mini camp for the duration of fall break. The camp will be held from Nov. 22-24 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of the camp is $10 a day for children ages 5-12.
