Changes to Cobb Co. transportation

Due to the celebration of the Braves in Cobb County, the CobbLinc Transit Service will be experiencing route changes today. Changes to routes 10, 50 and Rapid 10 are posted and other routes throughout the county are expected to change as well. These service changes are happening today only due to the parade taking place throughout the city.

Rapper 2Chainz partners with ELA initiative at College Park school

The New College Park community school has officially partnered with Reading with a Rapper and Kids Foot Locker to launch its new ELA initiative. The school has also joined forces with Atlanta native, rapper 2Chainz and will work with underserved youth and connect literature with socially conscious lyrics and technology.

Things to know before the Braves parade

Before you attend the Braves parade, the Atlanta Police Department shared some important things to know. APD outlined the specific route of the parade, what streets will be blocked off as well as additional transportation options. If you're attending today's parade, don't forget to dress warmly and get ready to cheer on our Braves!

One-day mini camp in DeKalb County

The city is busy celebrating the Atlanta Braves today! In honor of the team winning the World Series and in observation of schools being closed, DeKalb County is hosting a mini one-day camp to accommodate parents. The camp will take place across eight different recreational facilities throughout the county and is open to children ages 5-15.

Mayor Bottoms honored with plaque at Piedmont Park

With her term coming to an end, Mayor Bottoms was honored by the Piedmont Park Conservancy. The organization unveiled a special tree planting and plaque for the current mayor of the city.
