In preparation for crowds, sales and higher customer demands, multiple companies in DeKalb County are increasing their workforce ahead of the holiday shopping season.
Here's a look at the businesses in DeKalb County searching for seasonal workers:
The Postal Service is hoping to fill more than 40,000 seasonal positions as the federal agency approaches its peak season for mail and package deliveries. Positions range from city and rural mail carriers to mail handlers to drivers, according to a news release this week.
UPS is hiring 100,000 part- and full-time seasonal workers to meet holiday delivery demand. The company is hiring mainly package handlers, drivers and driver helpers, who assist drivers on delivery routes.
Kohl's said it will hire 90,000 seasonal workers to fill positions in stores and warehouses to meet customer demand. This year, seasonal employees will be eligible to receive a bonus ranging from $100 to $400 for working through the holiday season.
Target is currently hiring seasonal help at locations across the country. While it's uncertain how many positions are available this year, the company sought to hire more than 130,000 temporary workers last holiday season.
