(ATLANTA, Ga.) Atlanta’s popular bowl and salad chain, gusto!, is opening a new location outside of the city.

The chain announced its location in Athens in a press release on Tuesday and is set to open later in the year.

Gusto! creator Nate Hybl says the expansion is a “natural next move into a relatively new market” and took into consideration the connection Athens citizens have to Atlanta.

“Athens is a special place to all of us,” Hybl said. “We’re grateful to have some existing fans in the area, or at least a bit of brand recognition given the proximity to Atlanta. With quality over quantity being one of our core values, we have a methodical approach to organic growth – and see this relatively new market as a natural progression for our brand. We know the Athens pride runs deep, and we can’t wait to engrain ourselves in the Classic City!”

The new space will occupy the former Inolo Japanese Steak & Seafood building. Customers will be able to enjoy an outdoor patio as well as a drive-thru option.

Athens will be the third location with a drive-thru, a new feature that arrived at the Chamblee location as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The menu will feature the same options as the other locations. Customers will be able to create bowls and salads with the options of mixed greens, rice or a flatbread wrap. Protein options like chicken, tofu and shrimp will be available with signature sauces such as chile sesame barbeque, tzatziki lemon artichoke or sweet soy sriracha, to name a few.

The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner. Customers are able to order food via dine-in, drive-thru as well as online ordering and food delivery apps.
