The 2021 Extreme E Championship will be the inaugural season of the Extreme E electric off-road racing series. It is scheduled to start on 3. Each prix takes place in two days. Outrageous E has effectively won the sponsorship of F1 champion and social equity dissident Lewis Hamilton on account of its eco-accommodating methodology and sexual orientation equivalent groups. The arrangement will see nine groups fight it out in battery-electric, 400kW (550hp), 2.3-meter wide Odyssey 21 E-SUVs. Fit for terminating from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds, and at slopes of up to 130%, they’re not shy of force.

It’s a made for TV event with short, frenetic action, and it’s being shown live on terrestrial TV. Here’s everything you need to know about which TV stations it’s on and when, in addition to session timings for the whole weekend.

What is Extreme E?

Extreme E consists of five races, spanning four continents, and aims to highlight the impact of climate change and human activity on some of the world’s most remote locations, while promoting sustainability and the adoption of electric vehicles to help protect the planet.

Nine different teams – each with two drivers, one male and one female – are competing in the inaugural series.

Extreme E Championship 2021 team

Including the two drivers—one man, one woman—each team is limited to eight people. Each team will have one engineer and up to five mechanics. Teams will decide which driver will start.

Extreme E Championship 2021 format?

At each race there will be two days of racing – Saturday & Sunday. On the Saturday each team races twice in qualifying, while Sunday sees the semi-finals, the Crazy Race and the final.

Each race is two laps – one driven by the female and one by the male. All results are based on race finishing position, not race time.

Fox Sports has the rights to air live Extreme E races in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.  The first three seasons of Extreme E will be screened across FS1 and FS2, as well as the Fox Sports app. The app is supported by Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV and Xbox.
