Team USA is poised to continue its historic season at the 42nd FIS Nordic World Ski Championships that open on Monday in the Bavarian town of Oberstdorf, Germany. Diggins—currently the number one ranked skier in the world—leads a deep team of veteran women and up-and-coming skiers who have all tasted success.
The 29-year-old previously earned a world title in the team sprint in 2013 and finished with bronze in the same event in 2017, also taking a silver medal in the 10 kilometres freestyle in 2015 and the individual sprint in 2017. Diggins is now considered a favourite to earn world titles in the 10km freestyle, classic sprint, skiathlon and 30km classic events.

Nordic Ski World Championships start in Oberstdorf
Due to Covid-19, the 2021 World Championships will be held without spectators and with huge restrictions, but everyone there can expect lots of sunshine in the upcoming days.
The venues are, as always in Oberstdorf, in great condition. The Ski Jumping program starts already today at 3:30 pm CET with the women’s first training on the normal hill. The official opening ceremony follows on Wednesday at 8 pm CET.

The 101st season of the Nordic World Ski Championships Alpine Skiing 2021 is underway. The Skiing fans are eager to catch all the live action of the games. All the pre-season issues were invalid because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A lot of the teams opted to play their home games with no fans at all.
