LOCAL BUSINESS REVIEW - The Master Barber Experience located in Lake Nona within Orlando, Florida

Flour, Eggs and Yeast

If you are not familiar with the Lake Nona area of Orlando, you may be missing out. Lake Nona has a lot to offer, the proximity to the airport and the beachline are coveted by many. Due to the great access, the area has been growing rapidly and has no slowdown in sight. Lake Nona's Town Center has been under development with Tavistock for quite some time. Thinking back nearly 20 years ago when we first were looking to relocate into the area, Lake Nona was just starting to be developed into what it is today. If you haven't been in the area in the past couple of years, you may be surprised to see what a happening area it has become.

We all know that Orlando has so many things to see and do that the list seems endless. If you live here, are visiting on business, or are on vacation, it helps to be able to slow down and enjoy the moment with some self-care. This can mean a couple of different things; today we are talking about a Master Barber Experience. Back in January of this year, we visited the Lake Nona Town Center to check on new opportunities to share with everyone. We actually created our first NewsBreak video about the Master Barber Experience and did a review of the wine served during our pampering.

For many years, I was used to getting my haircut at whatever location had availability; the thought of scheduling a haircut really did not jive with my busy schedule. All of that changed with a dose of Florida heat, a shaggy head of hair and an unmanageable beard situation taking place. Those three conditions helped me seek out and find The Master Barber Experience and I haven't looked at grooming the same way since. Plus, anytime I can get a Bourbon, Beer or Wine during a service, I am usually in. This level of care brought a new dimension to our Buzz with your Cuz segments, and we look forward to growing that brand for everyone here on NewsBreak.

Recently I decided it was time, once again, to have that precise haircut only a scissor and skilled clipper operator can provide. Because it is getting warm again in Orlando, it would be to my benefit to also get a luxury shave and rejuvenating facial at the same time. At this point, it could only mean it was time to visit Orlando's Premier Barbershop and Shave Parlor to make an appointment. They have made the process extremely easy. Online, you can select one or more available services, select your preferred barber and a calendar will show all open slots. They also have cuts for the Little Gentlemen in your lives ages 1 - 12.

Speaking at length with Master Barber Edwin Harris, who has been delivering high end luxury experiences for over 20 years and also happens to be the owner, it is easy to see why this spot is so popular. Edwin operates his business in a way that makes all his customers feel like celebrities and he actually has quite a few that frequent the barbershop. Checking out his social media you may recognize some familiar faces. Edwin and his team all take that extra mile mentality and put it into practice to ensure you not only get a great cut, but you are never rushed in and out. Edwin can be frequently heard saying "when you look good, you feel good and that leads to great things" and he loves being part of enriching lives through self care. Edwin loves to talk about the Raiders, the wines and bourbons he serves his customers and Buzz with Your Cuz. I threw the last one in there but I am sure he would love to hear from you on the subject.

Edwin doesn't do it all on his own; he has a couple of other really talented barbers alongside him. Benny Perez can be booked a couple days a week. I try to come prepared with an inspirational quote if I know Benny will be in the house that day, and John Nieves, who you may hear talking about his English bulldog, barbering tips and tricks, cooking different foods at anytime during your visit.

What I really like about this team, is the throwback barbershop experience, but here, it has been upscaled and modernized just enough to really separate it from the pack. This is not the place I would pick if you want a no frills experience. They could do it but the product used are top of the line and the results come with it. The location is great and it still has that neighborhood feel in a rapidly growing area. I would recommend taking a look around Lake Nona at anytime, there are so many hidden gems just like this one.
