Time is running out for Mardi Gras at Universal Studios in Orlando!

Flour, Eggs and Yeast

It is no secret that Orlando continues to be an extremely popular Spring Break destination for the entire country. In my opinion, it is not only the weather, but more so the abundance of things to do and the theme parks really feed into it! This is one of our favorite times to visit, even if the crowds may be a little more robust. If you are planning to visit Universal Studios there is some added fun in store for you and your whole group. This year Universal Studios is running their annual Mardi Gras celebration from February 5th to April 24th, 2022, so you haven't missed it yet.

According to Universal Orlando | Your Orlando Theme Park, Hotel & Vacation Destination they have brought back some fan favorites and even updated Mardi Gras as they are billing this celebration as Florida's largest party! Some of the highlights to look forward to are special food and drink, parades, musical entertainment and specials for Florida residents.

One of the best parts of a theme park day can be the parades as they often offer great photo opportunities and live entertainment for people of all ages to enjoy. We are happy to let you know that parades have not only returned to Universal Studios, but they are a key attraction at the Mardi Gras celebration as well. Universal has named this the Spectacular Parade and it features authentic style floats, and even beads may be tossed in your direction. There are also opportunities to experience the parade from on top of the floats. All in the name of fun and celebration, these are not to be missed. Please note according to the Universal Studios event calendar, the Spectacular Parade will not take place on April 1st, 2nd or 8th.

As part of the entertainment value of this festival, Universal has brought in some outstanding talents for this year's dates. We are looking forward to this weekend as we found a great lineup!

  • Friday March 25th at 8:30pm - The Revivalist known for "I wish I knew you" and other hits.
  • Saturday March 26th at 8:30pm - Jimmie Allen known for "Best Shot" and "Make Me Want To"
  • Sunday March 27th at 8:30pm - Jason Derulo known for "In My Head" and "Savage Love"

No celebration is complete without some special food and drinks to enjoy! During this event you will not only find Mardi Gras themed items throughout the park but specialty food kiosks celebrating the event. These food kiosks have great options for all ages and taste preferences. If you love food like we do, it may make sense to investigate the Mardi Gras tasting menu with a Food and Beverage Card and Lanyard - There are 2 offers both of which offer discounts on the food. On the website link provided below, you will see options to purchase a $75 card for $65 or go big with a $150 card for $120!

All of the details above can be accessed here at Universal Orlando Mardi Gras 2022 | Parade, Concerts, Food, Beads & More information site.
