If you are missing live concerts and experiences like we are, it appears the calendar is starting to show great news. There has been a noticeable uptick in bookings across the board and Orlando is no exception, with some of those concerts starting to sell-out which is also a really good sign.
One concert we are looking forward to attending is named the River is Rising Tour featuring Slash and Myles Kennedy. It has been around 10 years since their 1st album together, and after a brief reprieve, Slash and Myles Kennedy are back at it again now having created four full albums together. It's great when your hobby is also your job and probably pays well! As part of their side project from their full-time gigs these projects allow for more individual expression for both artists and it shows. In addition, it doesn't hurt that this looks like it is a warmup tour for Slash as Guns N Roses kicks off a World Tour from Daytona Beach running overseas this May through mid-December. If you are interested in seeing GnR live in 2022, Daytona Beach is your only shot currently with the full line up playing Welcome to Rockville 2022.
Slash is promoting his most recent project named very simply "4". This is the 1st recording they have done together where they recorded it all live, mistakes and all in Nashville. It certainly provides unique sounds and warmth to the music. Rumor has it Myles sung the opening track for tour title, River is Rising and you can hear some congestion as the band did battle with Covid. One thing we do know for sure is the song launches with a classic Slash Les Paul driven riff that lets you know for sure this is a rock album. You will find those epic Slash solos throughout and even the Talkbox makes a couple appearances.

Having the pleasure of attending multiple Slash live shows over the years, I can tell you personally they have consistently exceeded expectations and definitely give you your money's worth. The shows start on time with a lot of energy and keep chugging all the way through. At this point in time, they have basically 5 records worth of material together plus any covers they may mix in to highlight the band strengths so you may hear a gamut of musical expressions and moods. This would be great for any rock fan as the music holds true to the roots of the genre. If you are ready to return to live music at $38 bucks or so, it's an easy way to enjoy a night out. Again, please check with the venues before purchasing if you have any concerns and make sure you share this article with fellow rock fans!
