Cast Iron Caramel Apple Crisp Recipe | Flour, Eggs and Yeast Channel
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ RECIPE BELOW ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ Apple Crisp Filling: 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled & sliced 3 Pink Lady apples, peeled & sliced 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 Tbsp Cornstarch 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract 1 tsp Cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp all spice 1/4 tsp ground cloves 1/4 tsp ground ginger 1/4 tsp cardamon 1 Tbsp unsalted butter to grease cast iron, or baking pan of your choice Crisp Topping: 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats (if you use Quick, it won't be as crispy) 1/2 cup ground graham crackers (love this flavor) 1 stick unsalted, cold butter 1 tsp sea salt Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit on middle rack of oven for 30 - 45 minutes depending on your dish and thickness. You'll know it's done when you see the caramel bubbling up around the edges. To catch any drips, I place a sheet pan on bottom rack with tinfoil for easy clean up.
