We visit Oxbow Eco center. They have miles of hiking and activities for the whole family!

Oxbow Eco-Center is a 225-acre preserve on the North Fork of the St Lucie River. The nature center is made from recycled materials, uses collected water for its flush toilets, and is a wealth of educational information and outreach programs. While the center temporarily closed while the damage from a brush fire was made safe for visitors, the actual center was not damaged. This is a beautiful place to hike, kayak, bird watch, picnic, and explore their many trails including the Florida Heritage Trail, which takes you through Florida's history from the time of the archaic people to now via a guided walking tour. There are so many programs for both adults and youth, archery, parents night out where your kids can hike and play with legos and have pizza while you get out for a few hours. We highly recommend this very special place that is an absolute gem in the community.
