Bob Evans prides itself on country cooking. They have bakery items, you can get a take-out Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings, large portions, and friendly service. We decided to check out this local favorite for breakfast as we’ve been here for years and hadn’t stepped in. The first thing is it is very clean.
They have small toys, bakery items, and candy for sale in the front.
The staff is very welcoming, we were seated immediately with no rush. We were hungry and it was before noon so opted to check out their breakfast menu.
They have a large menu with plenty of options between griddle items like pancakes and standards like omelets, biscuits and gravy, oatmeals, etc…
My eldest picked Blueberries pancakes with a side of bacon and a cup of hot chocolate and I couldn’t resist a combo plate of bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese, homestyle potatoes, and blueberry pancakes with a hot cup of coffee. I knew we were going to have trouble finishing this but was nor prepared for how huge the servings are.
The plates are full of food. Like so much food. An intimidating amount of food. All fresh, all delicious, and hot but there was no way I would be able to finish half of this.
I have to say we were very impressed. I cannot believe we hadn’t tried it all these years. Will be going back with the rest of the family soon and I really want to try their lunch/ dinner menu.
