The Emmy-nominated Actor Kevin James is back in Connecticut with the Irregardless Tour on Friday, June 9th at 8 pm at The Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. "Kevin James began his career as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. After being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival, he signed a network development deal to create his own sitcom. The King of Queens, which premiered in 1998, ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing, and it garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The show concluded its run in 2007 but continues to air daily in syndication across the country and around the world."

"James also starred in, and executive produced The Crew, a sitcom set in the world of NASCAR and is currently developing a single camera comedy (both for Netflix). James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff, a one-hour special for Comedy Central. This is one of my favorite recipes from Chef Giada De Laurentiis and it's called Focaccia di Recco! It truly reminds me of my family in Italy. This recipe is probably very different from what you know as traditional Italian Focaccia bread. ''In Ancient Rome, panis focacius was a flat bread baked on the hearth. The word is derived from the Latin focus 'hearth, a place for baking'. The first attestation of the word focaccia dates back to the 14th century. According to the Connecticut state library, ''it got the name because, in the state’s early days, Southern customers would buy nutmegs without knowing they had to grate them and would say the Connecticut Yankees sold them wooden nutmegs. Another theory is that “early inhabitants had the reputation of being so ingenious and shrewd that they were able to make and sell wooden nutmegs,” which is a lot less flattering. Regardless, the nutmeg connection makes Connecticut a natural fit for pumpkin pie. According to some, it should get even more specific with maple (another classic New England ingredient), pumpkin, nutmeg, and pecan streusel. "Quality is our most precious ingredient" is the slogan of Oronoque Farms in Shelton, Connecticut. The history of the company reflects their hard work and dedication to their pies and their customers. ''In 1985, Oronoque Orchards was destroyed by a fire. Although no longer available for sale, the pies were not forgotten by the many customers who had enjoyed them and the many fond childhood memories of visiting the original bakery in Stratford. In 1993, the Winton's daughter, Susan and her family reopened in the White Hills of Shelton under the name of Oronoque Farms. In 2004, new owners have moved in to carry on the Winton family traditions of their homemade pies and baked goods. Charlene and Jenette plan to continue, along with the help of Ronnie, the baker, and their families to make the same great pies that everyone remembers from their childhood.
