Come out and enjoy The Taste Of The Caribbean &
Jerk Festival at The Riverfront Plaza in Hartford, Connecticut in August! Looking for a fun festival to go to with your kids this summer? Are you a fan of delicious Caribbean cuisine? Well, I found the perfect FREE summertime festival filled with music, dance and of course, amazing food! You'll enjoy "Authentic Caribbean cuisine, cool island beverages, spectacular costumes and dance, and island rhythms bring a festive Caribbean atmosphere to the riverfront during a free, day-long, family-friendly festival."
Jerk is the taste of the signature flavors of authentic Jamaican food, one of the Caribbean's most famous cuisines. Jerk is a very spicy rub placed onto chicken or other meat and one of the tastiest ways to prepare food.
The extravaganza takes place on August 5, 2023 from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm at the Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, 300 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford, Connecticut. "The Riverfront Recapture is a nonprofit organization founded in 1981. We manage, maintain, and operate four riverfront parks and their connected riverwalks and trails. Our mission is to connect people with the Connecticut River, and we do just that, year-round, in our clean and safe parks." Taken from their official website.
They also work to keep the environment clean "Now, more than ever, your help is needed to keep our parks clean and open to all, a place to relax, and get away from the stress of day-to-day life. We are so grateful for your support!" There is more information on the website to donate to a great cause if you are interested.
