Updated "Amanda Bynes has been placed on a mental health hold, ABC News has confirmed through a person familiar with the situation. Around 6:40 a.m. on Sunday, Los Angeles law enforcement received a medical call for a female in a Sizzler parking lot on South Vermont Avenue and West Fourth Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A mental health team was called who transported her to a hospital on a mental health hold, known as a 5150 hold."

There is some disappointing news for fans of Amanda Bynes who were hoping to see her at '90s Con in Hartford, Connecticut this weekend. The actress was scheduled to appear and reunite with her "All That" cast members at the 90s Con event on Saturday, March 18.

At the last minute it was announced that the 36-year-old "She's The Man" actress would not be attending the convention due to an undisclosed illness. According to The Daily Beast this would have been Amanda Bynes' first public appearance since the end of her eight-year conservatorship in 2022. Amanda Bynes' parents filed to place her in a conservatorship in 2013, following what the former child actor previously described as a dark period in her life.

According to Just Jared "The production company hosting the event, That's 4 Entertainment, shared on their Instagram Story that Amanda's appearance at '90s Con had been cancelled due to an illness. She has now been removed from the guest list. '90s Con would have marked Amanda's first public appearance in years."

"While Amanda wasn't able to attend the event, her former All That co-stars Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Danny Tamberelli, and Lori Beth Denberg were all in attendance. All That ran on Nickelodeon for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2005. Amanda appeared on the show from 1996 to 2000. If you missed it, Amanda revealed that she’s making a career change." She did tell People two months ago that she was “really excited to reunite with” her “cast mates and meet the fans” since the show over two decades ago."
