Here is an easy, complete dinner idea using pre grilled/cooked chicken. This recipe only takes 30 minutes to prepare. All you need is a green salad and some crusty Italian bread and you have a delicious meal. Inspiration for this recipe is from Simply Home Cooked and their Asiago Tortelloni Alfredo.

1 bag of grilled chicken or a whole cooked chicken sliced up

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

1 garlic clove minced

2 Tbsp unsalted butter

2 cups heavy cream

3/4 cup grated Parmesan

1/4 cup asiago cheese

24 oz cheese or meat tortellini

Make The Sauce

In a large skillet or Dutch oven add 2 Tbsp unsalted butter and 1 minced garlic clove. Sauté on medium heat for about 1 minute. Then pour in 2 cups of heavy cream. Now pick up the heat and bring the sauce to a simmer.

Then turn the heat off and add 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan and 1/4 cup grated asiago cheese. Whisk the cheese into the sauce until it is fully melted (about 2 minutes).

Cook The Tortelloni

Now that the sauce is done, cook 24 oz tortelloni in a pot of boiling salted water per package instructions. Once the tortelloni is cooked drain the water.

Plate And Serve

Add Tortelloni to the sauce and combine.

Add the sliced cooked chicken, place it on top of the tortelloni, gently mixing it altogether.

Add some freshly grated Asiago cheese on top.

You can broil in the oven for just a few minutes until the cheese melts and browns a little. (optional)
