Dr. Michelle Oakley, the star of the hit TV series Yukon Vet on Nat Geo Wild has posted on her various social media accounts that she's back filming new seasons of her beloved show.

Yukon Vet premiered in 2014 and is currently shooting season eleven. The show follows Dr. Oakley's adventures around her home base of Haines Junction, Yukon and Haines, Alaska. "Michelle Oakley fell in love with animals from a very young age as she spent most of her summers at her uncle’s dairy ranch. In her childhood, Dr. Oakley looked up to Jane Goodall, the English primatologist and anthropologist. She was only around 11 years of age when she met Goodall at an event in a local zoo and was inspired to pursue her dream of working with animals'' according to The Cinemaholic

Dr. Oakley attended the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada and interned at the Calgary Zoo.

In 2020, Pet All American Licensing (ALL) signed a deal with Dr. Michelle Oakley for brand representation and new product development under the banner Dr. Oakley Wilderness Vet.

According to Pet Product News "Dr. Oakley is a true original, and the pet product deals that we secure for her will all be holistic, simple and based on years of veterinary science," said Michael Gottsegen, co-founding partner of ALL in Los Angeles.
