A visit to the World Golf Hall of Fame at the First Coast of Florida
If you love golf and sports, there is no shortage of everything golf. This museum includes special tributes and history to its members all on showcase for your enjoyment. There are plenty of fascinating, engaging, and interactive exhibits and historical accomplishments from golf’s best right here. Located in St. Augustine, Florida; the home of golf is on full display in this beautiful building. But this prestigious membership of honor originated in Pinehurst, North Carolina in 1974. It has since been moved to Florida (in 1998), where it is currently located today. Take notice of the old golf clubs and the golf balls. The early golf balls were comprised of pieces of leather sewn together and stuffed with goose or chicken feathers. It sure does give you an appreciation for the incredible technology today in the manufacturing of a golf ball now. Enjoy the brief tour and learn more about this museum on my blog, www.fitlifeandtravel.com.
