Chick-fil-A is great - Everybody seems to love it! I mean just look at the drive through line that wraps around the building the next time you drive by.
No one can really explain the phenomenon, but maybe it's something in the sauce - that Chick-fil-A sauce. It's a strangely sweet and savory concoction that tastes a little bit like honey mustard and a little bit like barbecue sauce. But it's oh so delicious on pretty much anything.
Luckily you don't have to actually go to Chick-fil-A anymore to experience this tasty topping. Did you know you can even buy it by the bottle in your local grocery store now?
But if you really want to save some time and money, and avoid that long drive through line, you can actually make your own Chick-fil-A sauce right at home.
Homemade Chick-fil-A Sauce
What you need:
- 1/2 cup of Dijon mustard
- 10 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 6 tablespoons of barbecue sauce
- 6 tablespoons of honey
Directions:
In a medium sized bowl, mix together the mustard, mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, and honey. Stir well until completely combined and smooth.
An even faster way to make it is to pour all of your ingredients into the blender and quickly mix up your sauce.
Store the sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Serve as a dipping sauce with chicken nuggets, tenders, or as a topping on your favorite chicken sandwich.
This recipe makes about a cup and a half of sauce. You can half it or double it for more or less.
