[VIDEO] Bridgeport, CT Firefighters battle second 2 alarm fire of the day.

BRIDGEPORT, CT - At approximately 3:30pm on December 29, 2022, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 36 Poplar Street for a reported house fire. First companies on scene found heavy smoke showing from the top floor of a large 2 1/2 story wood frame. All occupants, approximately 12 adults and 3 children had escaped prior to FD arrival. The fire would be end up being contained to attic of the structure but not before a 2nd alarm was called out of precaution. This was the second 2 alarm fire the city would battle on this day. The first came in around 12:20am on Central Avenue where heavy fire involved several units of a row house.
