Utilizing My Time in the Mornings

Felicia Atkinson

These are some of my essentials.

Every morning I wake up, roll out of bed, and walk downstairs to start my day. I make my cup of coffee, pack up my bag, and head off to wherever I need to go.

Most people’s mornings are quite similar. They wake up, pour a cup of coffee or tea, and pack all of the things they need for the day. And it makes it much easier if you have a few key necessities in your kitchen that will help your mornings run a bit smoother.

I never use to be super organized and waited until the morning do things, however, in recent months, I’ve become more organized and established a better routine. I like to be efficient with my time, and having a few key kitchen essentials have aided me with that.

A coffee pot/espresso machine

Almost every single morning, I like to make myself a cup of coffee using my coffee pot or espresso maker. I wasn’t always an avid coffee drinker, but ever since graduating from college, it has become part of my daily routine. It’s become a necessity for me in the mornings as I’m starting my work for the day.

I drink a pretty traditional cup of coffee, except I’ll add a splash of almond milk to it to make it a bit creamier. Coffee pots are also super inexpensive, which is great for anyone whose looking for affordable kitchen appliances.

Reusable ziplock baggies

Something I purchased that I use often are reusable ziplock baggies. These are bags that you can reuse over and over again instead of throwing it out after a single use.

When I was a student, I would use the throw-away plastic bags, but I wanted to be more eco-friendly and waste less, which is why I decided to purchase these reusable bags.

I bought a pack of reusable ziplock bags and I have been using them ever since. I love storing frozen banana chunks in these baggies so that I have frozen fruit chopped up to add to my smoothies in the mornings. I also like to use these ziplock bags to store my snacks when I’m going to be gone for long periods of time.

Hot/Cold travel tumbler

One of my favorite kitchen essentials is a hot/cold travel tumbler. They’re great to have if you want to keep a drink either hot or cold. And, the best part about them is that they’re super inexpensive. I love using a hot/cold tumbler to store my coffee, tea, water, and other beverages in them.

These are great to bring to school or work, as they keep your drink hot or cold for long periods of time. I almost always make either a hot coffee or an iced coffee in the mornings before starting my work day, and it stays hot/cold for multiple hours. Using a tumbler is also a great way to keep your beverage fresh.

Having a neat and organized kitchen with all of my favorite kitchen necessities is a must for me, and it makes it easier to create content for my food blog.

Some of my favorite kitchen items that I use almost daily include a coffee pot/espresso machine, reusable ziplock baggies, and a hot/cold travel tumbler. These are some of my favorite kitchen essentials that I use almost daily. The mornings can be rushed, but having a few key items can make your mornings run a little smoother.
