Today's post is going to be all about the beautiful North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville. It's a public garden that spans across 434 acres. It's a very scenic place, and is great to go to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.

While I have personally never been there, there is so much to do there. Let's dive into activities that take place at the North Carolina Arboretum.

1. Guided Trail Walk

An upcoming guided trail walk takes place on June 19th at 10:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm. There is another guided trail walk on June 22nd at 10:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm as well.

The guided trail walks are free and go from April-October. This free hiking program is led by volunteers who take you through the trails and discuss various topics related to plants and the environment.

These trail walks have a 10-person limit, and are 1-2 miles in length. It takes around 1.5-2.5 hours to finish the trail walk.

This is the perfect summer activity for anyone who loves being in nature and exploring the great outdoors. The trail walk is a very scenic route with lushous trees and beautiful flowers, and it's something that everyone can enjoy.

2. Meditative Mornings

On July 6, the North Carolina Arboretum has what is called Meditative Mornings. This takes place from 8:00am-10:00am, and occurs on the Tuesday morning of every month.

This is a period where you can go and enjoy the peace and quiet. The garden crew don't use any equipment that makes noise during this time, which creates a great opporutnity to enjoy the peacefulness of nature.

Final Thoughts

If you're in North Carolina, then you should definitely stop and check out the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville. There you can go on a guided trail walk and get in a good workout, or you can take part in Meditative Mornings, where you can enjoy the outside in peace and quiet.

The summer is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and the fresh air. Kids are off from school, and parents often have vacation days. Walking and hiking through trails is one of my favortie summer activities, and I'll surely be going to numerous different trails this summer.
