Stars In the Sky – You definitely will see stars in sky when you take a bite of this maste
KFC! No, not Kentucky Fried Chicken, but Korean fried chicken! This is the their flagship item here at Stars in the Sky. This place has one of the best KFCs in the Seattle area. They've got many different types including Original, Asian Garlic, Sweet and Spicy, Korean Style, Extra Spicy, and Honey Butter Garlic. There's also an option for you to order half of one flavor and half of another. But really, you can't go wrong with any of their options. This place also doubles as a karaoke joint. There's four rooms inside so you can party it up and sing Taylor Swift songs while munching on KFC and drinking soju. If you're coming just for food, make sure you come early especially if you have a group because the seating area is small and the wait can be long. Parking lot is small but manageable.

Little Red Day Spa is hands down the best place for a couple's massage. While it can be a little spendy, you can usually find a deal on Groupon, which makes it totally worth it. We got the "Art Room" and it was romantic to the core and worth every dollar! The room itself is massive with very high ceilings, a giant Jacuzzi, a giant dining table with place settings, a canopy "resting" bed on the 2nd floor, and a steam room that didn't seem to work very well. The experience itself is lovely. For the massage, we had conversations about injuries, pressure, and overall preferences and were matched with the appropriate masseuse. I LOVED my relaxing massage and my boyfriend got a deep tissue massage that he really appreciated. Absolutely amazing. The ambiance is incredible and we felt so taken care of. It was the perfect romantic evening.

I came here for a company morale event. It was a super fun event and I had a blast. If you're looking for unique and different ideas for a morale event I highly recommend coming here for an iron chef competition. When I walked in I got my blue ribbon and a piece of paper with the team I was going to be on. We split into different teams and each team had their own head chef. The competition was to make one main entrée with a base protein, two vegetarian sides, and a dessert. For our team we had chicken thighs and the team came up with ideas on what to make and our chefs had suggestions if needed. After we decided on our dishes we split into different groups to make them. The judges judged on multiple factors including but not limited to flavor, presentation, creativity, the menus we wrote, and even the cleanliness of our work stations. They ranked the winners and they got mugs as prizes. At the end you get to eat what everyone made. It was really fun to make something that everything will eat and enjoy and you get to try what your colleagues made as well. Sadly my team didn't win but I still had a great time!

The Seattle Glassblowing Studio has a lot of great glass artwork. Our instructor was fantastic, patiently explaining every step and encouraging timid newbies to grab hold (safely) and make something our own. If you have never gone to make your own beautiful glass creation this is the place to do it. The staff is super helpful and kind and very good at what they do. I got to pick the colors of glass and experience the heat on my forehead as I crafted my own creation. The people working there had to coach me the whole way but somehow still made me feel like I knew what I was doing. The prices are really affordable and you get to make not one but up till like 5 pieces if you pay for their package deal. Make sure you bring coins for parking because there isn't a parking lot and you will have to pay. So what are you waiting for decorate your home with a self-made work of art from Seattle glass blowing Studios today!

Oh my god, why did it take me so long to get here?! I ordered the pepper steak wit onions, then I was in between cheese whiz or provolone. The owner then suggested to do both, he said "It's the best cheese combo." Indeed it was! The bread, meat, and the cheese was so delicious. Next time I will ask for jalapenos and cherry peppers to put on my sandwich. The customer service was outstanding and quick. I'm thrilled that I found Calozzi's Cheesesteaks as this place definitely has one of the best sandwiches in the Seattle area. Just eat here and yes, get the Whiz for that artificial melted goodness. Anytime I'm back in the area I'll have to pick up a cheesesteak again and again.

Easily some of the best tacos in Capitol Hill and highly recommended spot. Came here for some takeout tacos and were blown away by how fast the tacos were ready, but how delicious they were. When you bite into such a gigantic piece, the juices drop all over the meat and make it taste that much better! The competitors will offer you radish, lettuce and other fix ins, but who legitimately cuts huge chunk of pineapple and grills it for you anymore? This place does! The carne asada had such a good char to it, I loved the flavor that it added. We also ordered their horchata and that was super good. I always get a little hesitant with ordering horchata as it could be a hit or miss at some places but Tacos Chukis' horchata definitely hit. Smooth and not gritty at all. And yes, I did eat everything I ordered! It was THAT good.
Read full storyQuinault Rain Forest - Rejuvenating and relaxing from a stressful week
We've walked the trails around Lake Quinault a few times over the past several years, and they never fail to awaken my sense of wonder and awe at the majesty and immensity of nature. A great place to start is with the short half-mile nature trail on the South Shore, which takes you through several impressive stands of fir, spruce, cedar, and hemlock trees, across tranquil streams, and through silent forests. If you have, then you can link up the nature trail with several other loop trails of varying lengths and difficulty and explore much more of the forest. Many of the trails start or end at the lodge, so you can fit in a visit during your walks. But mostly a visit to the Quinault area should be spent outside among the trees taking in the clean air and marveling at their lifetimes, their impact on the environment, and how lucky you are to be visiting one of the world's only temperate rainforests, where annual rainfall is measured in feet, not inches. Feel your body rejuvenated and your spirit renewed as you walk among these giants.

I heard that the entrance is kind of difficult to find but luckily we came with a friend who has been here before. He walked us right to the entrance and we were seated immediately. It's a small space, with maybe 3-4 tables on the bottom floor, connected to a more private room. We didn't check it out because another group was already in there but it seems like if you come with a bigger group, that space would be perfect. Upstairs didn't seat much either. We tried Burn's Twilight, Eddie's Achilles, Exterminating Angel, and the Nantucket Mongoose. Each drink was great! The waitress was awesome, and the drinks always came out pretty quick . The vibe was just like a speakeasy, and it was so cool. I hope I get to come back soon!

I work out 5 days a week so I spend allot of time at the gym. Having said that Emerald is by far the best gym I've been to. I tried them out many years ago not so much then, now they are awesome. One of the nicest things is the members. They have gone above and beyond following cleaning protocols and the place always looks spotless. Equipment is all fairly new and there's a large variety. The staff are professional and friendly. I greatly enjoy the monthly check ins and encouragement. They have 3 levels of packages and you can pick the one right for you. I will say though, their Champions classes are awesome and a great workout! Overall though I really enjoy this gym, I recommend to anyone who is looking for someplace that is committed to fitness and want to see results!

From setting up my moving date to the day of moving, Pure Movers was extremely professional and reliable! I made an appointment online, received an email very quickly after setting up the time my movers would arrive as well as specifying details such as where they can park their truck upon arrival. On the day of move-in, I received a call from the drivers about an hour before they arrived! Very prompt. They helped me move based on a one-bedroom apartment, 2 people came with a truck. They charged a rate per hour and rounded it by the end of it. My move was very close and quickly completed within a 3 hour block. My new apartment had a lot of difficulties with where to park, getting the elevator, etc. and they were super flexible with me and were communicative. In terms of security, they came with padded blankets and tape to securely fasten my bed, couch, desk, TV, etc. No damage and no issues. A quick, clean move. They were so quick and so reliable! I would highly recommend using them even if you have a short move. It saved me so much time and really gave me peace of mind.

This was the first time I visited this place and I was mind blown on how dedicated the staffs are here! I had a dynamic duo working on me and I got an experience I would never forget! My hair wash felt like a wonderful head massage! So good! They don't just care about the hair service you're there for, they care about the health of your scalp and I asked a ton of questions about hair loss as I have noticed that I'm losing hair volume as I get older. I requested to take off a few inches, leaving it bob and wavy and now have so much movement! I felt peaceful and confident with them even before she started cutting and they are really knowledgeable, efficient and respectful! They clearly love what they do, check in often with you and explain what they are doing while they are doing it! I love my new style and my hair feels light and healthy! Parking is free across the street – so it’s a bonus!

There's also a custom box you can type any custom ingredients in your cake if your pup cannot eat a certain ingredient. These are beautifully handcrafted treats and cakes for the love of your lives. I can't recommend any more highly!! I will definitely be coming by here more to pick up treats for our pup!

One of Washington’s most beautiful hidden gems. About 1.5 hour drive, 5.4 miles (8.7km) hiking, rocks, mud, 1,453 feet elevation, stunning views, two waterfalls, and sore feet later, here we were: a dreamy alpine lake, fresh air and pure moments of bliss. Parts of trail were a bit tricky as many rocky sections and wet. Streams to cross and stair sections. But gorgeous views in places over the valley, distance peaks with snow and, of course, the lake. Multiple water falls cascading down from peaks made the hike truly memorable. This is a moderate hike due to the terrain, but we saw many hikers with dogs and children. The parking lot gets full very quickly so be sure to get there early. A forest service pass is required so be sure to stop at the ranger station before you get there. If you are willing to put in the time and energy, it is well worth the trip. Happy hiking!

We came here for the Intermediate classes, and our boy learned a lot. I love that the skills they teach are all highly functional and useful, and the trainers are excellent. Every puppy will have its quirks, and whenever our little guy was struggling with something, our trainers would always have useful tips to offer, and they always helped our guy. Classes were a good small size, so we could get our questions in, and the trainers could watch our dogs and offer individual feedback. The trainers are also great at explaining the whys and the underlying doggy psychology, so we learned principles that'll be helpful as we continue to work with our pup. I feel like we got the right tools to train him on our own for a bit, but when we're ready for the next level, we'll come back to Ahimsa. Everyone I've spoken with at Ahimsa has been kind, professional, supportive, and helpful. Raising a puppy is no easy feat - and this place will help set you and your puppy up for a lifetime of communication, understanding, and the foundation to live happily together.

This is one of my favorite parks. Located in Medina, right by city hall, the Medina Beach Park is absolutely stunning, especially on those clear, sunny days. The only negative about this park is that they unfortunately, do not allow dogs. This beach park has a nice, lush lawn with picnic tables and benches that look out to the water, including benches on the dock. There's also a dock in the middle of the beach for swimming. Views of Seattle, including the Columbia Tower and UW Tower can be seen from here, including both floating bridges. You can't beat these views. I find that the Medina Beach Park is generally a peaceful place, as it isn't as busy as other beach parks nearby. There are parking spots at the top of the hill, and restrooms are at the bottom of the city hall building. I personally love coming here to read a book and to enjoy the tranquility. The parking can seriously get crowded! Unfortunately, there is only one narrow street and one row of cars so you have to see if anyone leaves. It's a bit of a struggle to get out but as long as you go slowly back out, you're good!

I really like this cute apartment-lots of room to spread out and fun whimsical art and decor. It is an older place and is in the basement , there is some noise from upstairs, and it takes a little while to warm up to it. That said it was awesome having a real kitchen to make my own meals, and a designated parking spot. The bathroom with the bathtub looks newly redone and the shower runs nice and hot with good pressure. The bed was very comfy and there’s plenty of books in the apartment to fill your down time. Really cute yard area with twinkle lights, unfortunately, because of my class schedule I was really only there at night. The space was spotless, too! I was very impressed. The location is great, close to bus stops and right next to an amazing Hawaiian restaurant. We would definitely stay at this place again! Hosts gave me total privacy which was great because I was really tired and didn't feel up to socializing.

A nice, easy walk/slight hike through one of North Seattles most beautiful nature reserves. The arboretum is huge with plenty of trees, flowers, plants and scenic lookouts! What i love about the Arboretum is that you get to learn about your surroundings along the way! Theres plenty of signs identifying different trees/plants/flowers. Theres even a school for children that meets in the heart of the Arboretum that is completely designed from the surrounding nature. I traveled down to the beach being that the tide was out and got to meander around in the little tide pools enjoying some of the ocean life that decided to stay behind while the roaring ocean traveled outbound. This loop is beautiful any time of year but i would highly recommend going in the spring when everything is in full bloom. Definitely a great spot for a scenic walk!

There’s usually a lot of people but the trail is wide enough to accommodate everyone. Mostly, here families have fun/ picnic around the area. It's a go to place when you need de-stressing and losing some calories without driving far.

My daughter and I loved the Dough Zone Dumpling House. It was recommended to us by her school teacher. He described it as amazing and he was right. The menus are similar to notepads where you make a check next to the items that you want. We ordered pork xiao long bao and Dan Dan noodles. The noodles look like the same noodles as the Dan Dan but cooked more Al dente/chewy so I liked it more. The Dan Dan noodles here have a bit of peanut flavor and a lot of that Szechuan numbing spice flavor. Thought I'd note that since every place always makes it differently. The pork xiao long bao taste unbelievably delicious - it's smaller than expected . It is pretty juicy though. We quickly devoured all ten within minutes. Service is usually better, but they appeared to be operating short handed so understandable. They serve in small portions which kinda is disappointing, but apart from that the food is absolutely yum!
