Storm Surge in Downtown St. Pete after Hurricane Idalia - North Shore Park Underwater

St. Petersburg Florida was around 150 miles away from the eye of Hurricane Idalia that made landfall on August 30, 2023 as a Category 3 storm near Keaton Beach, but the city and surrounding islands still experienced storm surge. This video includes footage driving around and walking in North Shore Park. Overall the St. Petersburg, Florida area was very fortunate to only experience 4-6 ft storm surge. The Florida Disaster Fund has been activated to support the communities in the big bend that were devastated by Hurricane Idalia, if you would like to provide support, consider donating to the Florida Disaster Fund at #hurricaneidalia #servefl #florida
