Hike the Most Popular Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park | Hiking Series Ep 8
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee is a great destination for hikers of all levels. In this video we hike the most popular trail in the park, the Alum Cave Trail. The trail starts out easy, but eventually the elevation gain becomes more difficult. The trail is rated strenuous. Along the trail we hike through Arch Rock (1.4 mi and 4,389 ft) and pass by Inspiration Point (4,700 ft) to Alum Cave (2.3 mi and 4,970 ft). We end up hiking past Alum Cave toward Mount LeConte for about a 1/2 mile. Those who are up for a challenging full day hike may want to consider hiking all the way to Mount LeConte. The Mount LeConte hike can take between 6 to 10 hours depending on one's pace. If you enjoyed this video be sure to give it a thumbs up and leave us a comment.
