This beach is around 150 miles away from where the eye of the hurricane made landfall on August 30, 2023 as a Category 3 storm near Keaton Beach. This area only experienced 4-6 ft storm surge which did flood the streets and some businesses. Thankfully many of the business have already cleaned up and are back open.

Pass-A-Grille Beach in Florida sustained some damage due to the storm surge from Hurricane Idalia.

This beach is around 150 miles away from where the eye of the hurricane made landfall on August 30, 2023 as a Category 3 storm near Keaton Beach. This area only experienced 4-6 ft storm surge but it did damage the boardwalks to the beach and flooded the streets. Thankfully many of the business have already cleaned up and are back open.

Pass-A-Grille Beach Damage after Hurricane Idalia

Clearwater, FL

Clearwater Beach, Florida was around 150 miles away from the eye of Hurricane Idalia that made landfall on August 30, 2023 as a Category 3 storm near Keaton Beach, but the Tampa Bay area and surrounding barrier islands still experienced storm surge. This are only experienced 4-6 ft storm surge and the beaches and businesses are already back open on Clearwater Beach. This footage was taken around 10 am on Friday September 1, 2023. This video includes footage walking around Clearwater Beach and Pier 60 2 days after the hurricane. A portion of the pier is now closed to the public while it's safety is being evaluated from damage that was sustained. There is also a public health advisory due to high bacteria levels in the water.

Pass-A-Grille after Hurricane Ian (driving on the island and walking on the beach in Florida)

We encountered some dangerous driving situations the morning after Hurricane Ian in St. Pete Florida. We created this video to bring awareness to people regarding Florida Statute 316.1235 which requires inoperative traffic signals to be treated as a 4-way stop. Please share this with others who may be out driving in Florida while the linemen work hard to restore the power to the state.
