Kansas City, Mo. - If you are like a lot of Kansas Citians, then your paycheck isn't likely keeping up with inflation.

1. Journeyman Electrician - $80,000 to $120,000 a Year
Mister Sparky of Mid America is hiring a full-time journeyman electrician that pays up to $120,000 a year.
In addition to good pay and benefits, like health insurance and a 401(k) plan, this position can lead to a lucrative career as an electrician.
2. Warehouse Order Selector - Up to $89,000 a Year
Sysco in nearby Olathe, is hiring a full-time warehouse order selector that pays up to $89,000 a year.
This entry level position even comes with on-the-job training, so no previous warehouse experience is necessary.
3. Train Conductor - $37.72 an Hour
Canadian Pacific is hiring a full-time train conductor for its conductor training class. Therefore, no experience is necessary.
The pay is $37.72 an hour, which is the equivalent to around $75,000 a year.
4. Automotive Technician/Mechanic - $40,000 to $90,000 a Year
Anderson Automotive in neighboring Olathe is hiring to fill multiple automotive technician/mechanic roles. These full-time jobs pay up to $90,000 a year.
While the job posting says that they prefer two years of experience, the ad also says they are looking for entry level candidates.
5. Trainee Sales Consultant - $30 an Hour
Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits is hiring an entry level sales consultant trainee in Kansas City.
The job pays $30 an hour, which is the equivalent to $60,000 a year, and comes with benefits like health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
6. Field Claims Representative - $53,500 to $75,000 a Year
The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is hiring entry level field claims representatives for its claims department in Kansas City.
These positions pay up to $75,000, and come with a hybrid work environment. Benefits include the ability to work from home, 401(k), and stock options.
