Why are mantra's so powerful?

Say it out loud! Your creativity can set you free.

There is a Mantra that I say every morning when I wake up:

Opportunity — Success — Money — Freedom

Without a point of reference this may be misconstrued as being both capitalistic and well, shallow. Please allow me to Clareifi.

As I reach for my citrine crystals (Citrine is associated with positivity and optimism. Often referred to as the merchant stone it has for centuries been associated with manifesting abundance and opportunity), I say;

Thank you — for the — Opportunities that I currently have or will make themselves known to me today!

I have the opportunity to be — Successful through my actions, and the steps I take to make progress today.

When I am successful — I have the opportunity to make — Money

I only need enough money to allow me the — Freedom to live the life I want

I’ve been fortunate to have received several opportunities recently to continue doing what I love (creating content, telling stories) and have the chance to be compensated for doing it.

While I haven’t yet cracked the code for joining the top earners writing online, practicing my craft since October 2019 has opened so many doors.Honestly, I understand that I haven’t put in the amount of effort required to crack the online writing code. There are tons of articles about making money online and the debate continues regarding:

  • Quantity vs. Quality
  • Curation vs. Self Publishing
  • Niche vs. Mass Marketing.

I’ve dabbled, experimented with all of these. When I started writing the year was 2012. My dad had just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Me being the type of person who didn’t tend to speak about my feelings, I started to write them down. There was no idea in my mind that 9 years later while my dad who was a talented writer would be nearing the final stages of his life as his disease continued to rob him of his memories and cognitive abilities that I would consider myself to be a writer.

Yet here we are.

There is a Chinese proverb — The Invisible Thread, that when I read it makes me feel like, I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing at this time in my life.

An invisible thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. May you be open to each thread that comes into your life — the golden ones and the coarse ones — and may you weave them into a brilliant and beautiful life.

Despite not having been able to make a living from only writing online (yet), I have been presented with other opportunities that have proved to be just as (if not more) valuable.I would have never found News Break if it weren’t for writing online.

I would have never had the confidence, or the know how to market my services as a web designer for small business and other creatives who wanted to be found online.

When it comes to finding success in writing remember:

You’ve got to continue to take risks.

You’ve got to commit to yourself that you won’t be afraid to fail (and learn from it).

With practice comes experience. Experience leads to opportunity. Opportunity leads to success. Success leads to money. Money leads to freedom.

Freedom to be creative.

You deserve to be happy. You deserve to live a life you are excited about. Don’t let others make you forget that.

You and I are living stories.
