As a creator, What will you be known for?

You and I are living stories.

I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with my life. (Yeah, I’m just gonna leave that right there for Y’all to let it sink in). Photo by Tim Gouw on Unsplash

I’m 46 years old. The last few years have been a rollercoaster ride of reinvention and self-development. I’ve quit jobs, been fired from jobs, helped start a business, created a new vision for the way I wanted to work and live. Of course, it hasn’t been easy, but I’m still standing. Maybe right now a better statement would be that I’m getting back up again.

Through the good times and the bad, I’ve had a constant motivation in mind that has helped me to keep going. My family. Every decision that I make is with the intent of making life better for them. That doesn’t necessarily mean monetarily even though that helps. I’m talking about having the freedom and ability to live and work together in a way that teaches my children that they have options. My wife and I work hard to create. We were both bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and have committed to making a living by working for ourselves. Ownership is the path to creative/financial freedom.

How will you be remembered?

While it’s true that you can’t take anything with you in the end. While you’re here if you work toward creating something sustainable, something that contributes to our community, something memorable for your children, and their kids after them. You’ll have created a legacy.

A history.

A story worth sharing.

I started writing as a form of therapy for me to deal with the emotions I was feeling about my dad’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Over the years it has turned into so much more.

Clareifi is dedicated to my Dad — Clarence Giles. Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2012. Dad was an Entrepreneur, a talented writer, and liked to do things his way, or not at all. I hope that the stories that I share about my dad, his battle with Alzheimer’s, and how it affects our family will not only serve to honor his memory one day but possibly offer some insight into what to expect for other families that will, unfortunately, go through similar experiences.

I thought it was important to make Clareifi more than just a blog about Alzheimer’s because my Dad was more than just an entrepreneur, he was more than just a writer. He did so many different things in his life. He was by no means perfect, nothing is.

Dad taught me:

Lessons in Life, Love, Family, Career & Style, but mostly just — Dad Stuff.

I’m still piecing together how I want it to look.

My goal is to make a living as a content creator, and then I can “teach” / coach/train / advise others on how to make a living from their creative endeavors such as their writing, blog, vlog, or podcast.

The missing piece of my puzzle is getting there myself first. The vision is becoming clearer. Down the road this will be a post about — If I can do it, you can too!

I want to help people clarify their creative ambitions, enable them to share a part of their story.

What do I have to offer?

I can openly share my trials, failures, and success. I’ve always been the type to leap before I look. That strategy has helped me to get ahead by appearing confident, or sometimes simply relieving the pressure of “going first”, it’s like ripping off a band-aid. Other times, I leaped and fell flat on my face. You’re welcome. As long as we both learn from my failures it’s win-win, right? All of those failures were experiences, there are no regrets.

How can I help other creatives/writers / small business owners?

Web design

Content creation

Social Media

Interviewing creatives and small business owners on my podcast, helping them share their message with the world.

These are all of the ways that I’m piecing together the monetization of my brand. The email lists are starting to grow. Views and reads are increasing. A tribe of true fans is emerging. My commitment to making a living as a content creator is dependent on the consistency and quality of my efforts and how it resonates with you.

I will say what I am.

My name is Euri Giles and I am a creator. I am a writer.

What will you be known for while you’re here?
