Restaurants come and go. Very few have the staying power to last decades.
A huge part of the problem is expanding too soon. That could be opening multiple locations or a far too big menu.
Vince’s Spaghetti is one place that completely bucks that trend.
Vince’s Spaghetti History
If you’re looking for authentic Italian Spaghetti, look no further.
The Vince’s Spaghetti that opened in Ontario, California, back in 1945 looked slightly different. At the time, it was a six-stool, open-air restaurant without a kitchen. Grandma Rose hand-carried the food from a kitchen 50 yards away.
By 1968 Vince’s, run by three brothers and their wives, was billed as the largest spaghetti restaurant west of the Mississippi. The original Ontario location now seats more than 400.
Thanks to all that success, they now have 3 locations, all of which are still family-owned and operated. They also all still serve Grandma Rose’s original recipes.
The Rancho Cucamonga Location
The Rancho Cucamonga location opened in 1984. Even though it’s newer than the original, the food tastes exactly the same.
How do you get good at anything?
Vince’s has plenty of practice making Spaghetti. It serves over 30 tons of spaghetti every month. That comes out to 25,000 miles of spaghetti per year.
The simple menu is easy to choose from. Spaghetti and lasagna are at the heart of the menu.
However, they also have some great sandwich options if you’re not in the mood for spaghetti.
