When it comes to running a successful restaurant, good food is essential. But, it's not all that matters.

A family-friendly atmosphere and commitment to quality also go a long way.

That's something that Brent's Deli has understood very well since 1967.

The History of Brent's Deli

Brent's Deli strives to make everyone who visits feel like family. Their commitment to family values and quality ingredients are the keys to their success.

While Brent's opened its doors in 1967, the values behind it started even earlier.

Founder Ron Peskin worked behind the counter for several delis throughout the San Fernando Valley. Eventually, his success led to an opportunity to buy his own business. Despite the risk, he decided to take the leap, and the rest is history.

Part of the reason for his success was his commitment to excellence.

“For the first year-and-a-half of reopening Brent’s Deli, I never took a day off. I made every single sandwich because I wanted each one to be perfect.” -Ron Peskin

Today Ron's son Brent, daughter Carrie, and son-in-law Marc are all part of the management team.

There are several great appetizers on the menu, including chicken wings, chicken tenders, chili cheese fries, and onion rings. That being said, the sandwiches are still the heart of the menu, especially their mouthwatering Reuben.

There are soo many sandwich options that it's hard to pick. But here are two of my personal favorites.
