3 Los Angeles restaurants that are perfect for your next burger fix

Eugene Adams

No food is more American than a good old-fashioned hamburger. The combination of a burger, fries, and a coke has been popular since the mid-1900s.

Los Angeles is no exception. It’s home to many popular burger places. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick fast-food burger or something gourmet, you can find it here.

Here are three burger spots perfect for you the next time you crave a burger.

Goldburger has an interesting history worthy of its L.A. home. It started as a simple Instagram account. Then, it turned into a temporary burger pop-up.

In 2018 that temporary pop-up became semi-permanent. That naturally led to their first permanent location in Highland Park in 2020. They then went on to open a Los Feliz location in 2021.

Many things have changed for Goldburger, but not their commitment to high-quality ingredients. Their beef is grass-fed from day one.

The menu is simple, which allows them to focus exclusively on quality. There are five full-sized burger options and one for kids. They also have great fries and soft drink options to round out your meal.

For the Win

For the Win is one of the few good things to come out of the pandemic. Covid Lockdowns forced a lot of change. What better time to chase your dream of opening a burger spot.

The vision was clear: create a classic American smash burger with a soft bun, juicy beef, and the best sauce. Through extensive experimentation, they found the perfect combination.

Burgers are the star of the menu. You can get each burger as a single, double, or triple. But don’t overlook their patty melts or chicken sandwiches.

Original Tommy’s World Famous Hamburgers

Tommy’s is not the new kid on the block. It was founded by Tom Koulax way back in 1946. It took a while to take off, but by the mid-1950s, it was wildly popular all over Los Angeles.

In the 1960s, Tom Koulax had no choice but to expand. There was no other way to accommodate the impressive growth.

That growth continues to this day. One thing that won’t change is the original philosophy: maintain quality at all costs.

Their world-famous quarter-pound chili cheeseburger is the star of the menu. You can get your chili burger as a single, double, or triple. If you’re not in the mood for chili, their California Classic burger is also great.

They have locations all over Southern Californian. Check their website for a location near you.
