Few foods scream Southern California more than tacos.

The City of Los Angeles is 48% Hispanic, making Mexican food an obvious hit.

If you’re looking for tacos in L.A., you never have to look far. There is a restaurant that serves Mexican food on almost every street.

However, not all restaurants are created equal. Some serve better tacos than others.

Guerrilla Tacos is undoubtedly one of the good ones.

Guerrilla Tacos

Taco aficionado is probably the best description of Guerilla Tacos. Many restaurants serve tacos almost as an afterthought. Guerilla Tacos goes all in, specializing in tacos.

They also aren’t new; Avila’s Guerilla Tacos was one of the most beloved food trucks in town for six years. Eventually, they decided to park the truck but found just as much success as a brick-and-mortar establishment.

The history and pride in their food shine through.

Lunch

No Mexican restaurant would be complete without Chips and Guac on the menu. They are a great appetizer to get you ready for the main course.

The lunch menu has lots of taco options. It includes all the typical types of tacos and several interesting ones.

The Korean Fish Tacos are exceptionally well made. The Sweet Potato Tacos can be made especially for any vegans out there.

Dinner

The dinner menu is very similar to the lunch menu, but the list of cocktails is much longer.

The dinner menu also includes both raw and grilled oysters as appetizers. All their tacos are good, but the octopus and pork belly tacos are my favorites.

Spirits

Sometimes great food isn’t enough. Sometimes you need a great drink to wash your meal down.

Thankfully, the spirit menu is long and has a little something for everyone. They truly have it all, tequila, vodka, mezcal, rum, scotch, brandy; you name it.

You will find something you love on the menu if you like to drink.
