There are few better ways to start your day than with some delicious donuts and coffee.

Donuts from the grocery store get the job done just fine, but you can do better. Donut flavors are seemingly endless. If you can imagine it, there is probably a donut in that flavor.

Thankfully Los Angeles is filled with plenty of great donuts shops. Here are four excellent options for the next time you are craving donuts.

DK's Donuts & Bakery

DK's was started by two Khmer refugees back in 1980.

Over the last 42 years, DK' Donuts & Bakery has established itself as a one-stop shop for donuts, coffee, sandwiches, and smoothies.

The best part of DK's Donuts is the unique flavors of donuts and pastries.

Must try unique items:

  • Famous croissant + donut hybrids
  • Waffle + donut hybrids
  • The world's first ube donut
  • Bacon infused donuts
  • Donut ice cream sandwiches
  • Our croissant + donut breakfast sandwiches
  • Grilled cheese o-nut

Over the years, Moon Donuts has managed to develop a cult-like following. Their Custard-filled donuts are something every donut lover needs to try at least once.

Be sure to arrive early because they sell out on most days.

Knead Donuts & Tea

Knead Donuts & Tea serve great donuts, but that's not all they do. They also serve Vietnamese Coffee, Boba Teas, Croissant Sandwiches, and Smoothies.

The specialty donuts come in a wide variety of flavors. They have everything from plain glazed donuts to a Thai iced tea flavored donut.

The Donut Man

The Donut Man is probably best known as the home of the Original Fresh Strawberry and Peach Stuffed Donuts.

The Donut Man prides itself on keeping things just like when it opened back in 1972. Those high standards have kept it popular to this day.

Every donut is made by hand, which you can tell by the unique shape of each donut. They are all cut, shaped, fried, and frosted right in front of the customers.
