Palm Springs is a unique city. With its sunny climate and laid-back vibe, it's long been a popular place to live or visit. 

Palm Springs is consistently rated one of the best California cities to retire in. It's also a popular tourist destination with over 130 hotels and many attractions. 

Whether you live in town or just visit, you need to eat. Thankfully, Palm Springs has some top-notch restaurants. Here are three of them. 

Boozehounds

Boozehounds is the perfect restaurant for dog lovers. Not only are dogs welcome, but they also have their own menu. 

If you're not a dog lover, don't worry, Boozehounds has a little something for everyone. 

  • It's a great coffee and co-working space during the day. 
  • It has a great daily happy hour.
  •  Their dinner menu is made with primarily locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. 
  • And, of course, there is an alcohol menu with a wide selection of craft cocktails and delicious beers.

Few things fit a sunny climate better than burgers and beer. The Heyday serves the best of both. 

The food menu is simple, a couple of different burgers, a chicken sandwich, a salad, and some fries. 

Once you choose your meal, you can pick from their wide selection of cocktails, beers, and wines to wash it all down.

Smoke Tree BBQ Bar & Grill

Smoke Tree BBQ Bar & Grill brings great BBQ to a great location. Located behind the Smoke Tree Shopping Center near downtown, it's hard to miss. 

The in-house smoked barbecue meats go well with the diverse selection of spirits and craft beer. 

Whether you're in the mood for ribs, beef, chicken, sausage, or pork, it's all slow-smoked and served with all the sides you could want. 

The one negative is that Smoke Tree BBQ is only open Thursday through Saturday.
