Manhattan Beach is a unique place. It's home to one of the most beautiful beaches around and has a moderate year-round climate perfect for enjoying it.
It has a small-town vibe but is also popular with tourists. It attracts nearly 4 million visitors annually.
Of course, all those tourists, and the locals, need to eat somewhere. Thankfully Manhattan Beach is full of great places to eat.
Here are three restaurants worth trying next time you're in Manhattan Beach.
The Strand House
If you want a meal that comes with a view, The Strand House is tough to beat. It's just a few steps away from the historic Manhattan Beach Pier, and the 180-degree view of the Pacific Ocean is breathtaking.
Even with a great view, restaurants don't make it ten years without some great food. The Strand House delivers meals worthy of its top-notch location.
The menu takes advantage of Southern California's year-round availability of produce. Each week the chefs roam farmers' markets to source directly from the best farmers.
Being so close to the beach, of course, they serve all the seafood you would expect. They also have an extensive wine list that is sold both by the glass and by the bottle. If wine isn't your thing, they also have a large cocktail and beer menu.

Simmzy's
Manhattan Beach is home to the original Simmzy's. Simmzy's has been so successful that they have expanded to Long Beach, El Segundo, and Huntington Beach.
Most people come to Simmzy's for the laid-back vibe. It has outdoor seating, which puts you even closer to the beautiful beach. The menu perfectly matches the vibe.
They have a wide selection of beers, wine, and cocktails. They also have all the typical finger food you would expect from a relaxing bar. Their burgers are amazing, but they also have great tacos and wings.

Sunday: 9 am- 10 pm

El Sombrero
El Sombrero has been a Manhattan Beach staple since 1975. It's known as "The Hat" by locals.
Southern California is overflowing with Mexican restaurants. For a Mexican restaurant to survive more than 40 years, it must be good. This family-owned restaurant has more than proven it's quality over the years.
El Sombrero has amazing tostadas, huevos rancheros, and giant burritos. The main draw, in my opinion, is Taco Tuesdays. It's hard to beat tacos and beers for only $2.50.
