College football bowl season is long.
It feels like the list of bowl games gets longer every year.
This year will be no exception. Los Angeles is getting another bowl game for itself.
The Jimmy Kimmel L.A. Bowl
You can watch it on ABC. Or, you can visit SoFi Stadium to catch the game.
The game will feature the Mountain West’s number one team vs. the Pac-12’s number five team.
The L.A. Bowl was supposed to start last year. However, it was postponed due to Coivd-19.

Football Meets Entertainment
Jason Gannon is the executive director of the L.A. Bowl. He recently gave some inside into what we can expect from the game.
“Jimmy Kimmel L.A. Bowl will not only bring an incredible game-day experience to fans, but it will also focus on supporting our community 365 days a year.” Jason Gannon
Naming a football game after Jimmy Kimmel is a little funny. But that is part of the fun of bowl games.
Quirky names are nothing new. Sponsoring a minor bowl game has long been a cheap way for companies to generate publicity.
One example is Elk Grove Village who paid $300,000 to name the Bahamas Bowl as the “Makers Wanted” Bahamas Bowl. The village used it to attract manufacturers to its industrial park near O’Hare International Airport.
Overall, I am excited about the game. SoFi Stadium is one of the newest stadiums in the country. So it only makes sense for it to host a Bowl game.
Los Angeles is a great football town, and getting its own Bowl game is a win in my book.
It will be one more game for Los Angeles football fans to enjoy.
