Giving Back to Others. Filmstock Events Launches Their First Annual Industry Expo.

Lou Silver & Sara Rogers

Filmstock Events launches their first annual Industry Expo taking place this coming November 13, 2021, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Dania Beach Florida.

The event date was selected to accommodate the activities and attendees of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival otherwise known as FLIFF. We expect talent and vendors and filmmakers from all over the country to be there.

“Where Talent Meets Opportunity” is how Sara Rogers, CEO of Filmstock Events best describes this unique one-of-a-kind Industry Expo.

My business partner Lou Silver and I wanted to do something for our industry to give local talent and filmmakers the well-deserved boost they need after enduring these past 18 months!

On Saturday, November 13th from 10 am to 12 noon we have Kids casting where child actors between the ages of 6 – 17 will perform in front of a panel of well-known Casting Directors and Agents. Each actor is given 10 minutes to express their craft.

From 12 noon to 4 pm starts Speed casting for adult actors over the age of 18, also giving each actor 10 minutes to express their craft in front of a new panel of well-known industry Casting Directors and Agents.

At 4 pm we launch Pitch fest giving independent filmmakers each 10 minutes to pitch their project to a panel of Industry Distributors, Producers, and Venture Capital providers.

What is most unique and special about this event is that Filmstock has no financial stake in any talent or filmmaker, or vendor deals that may take place as a result of this networking event.

“Again, it is our way of giving back,” says Sara Rogers.
