"Hi, my girlfriend and I were thinking about walking around downtown Orlando soon. Where would be the best place to view the skyline and walk in between the big buildings? Please give us some suggestions. Thanks."
I walk around Lake Eola every day during my lunch break. Even as an Orlando native, it never fails to impress. If you want to walk around by the tall buildings head to south eola, get an ice cream at the greenery creamery and enjoy!
If you’d like to see the skyline from a distance and have a chill walk with some ducks and geese check out Lake Davis. Awesome architecture and wildlife to look at. It has a paved walking path around the lake and is one of my favorite spots around sunset.
Not much to downtown so I would say with what you're looking for, start from Dr. Phillips Center, walk north on Orange, turn right on Washington, then walk around Lake Eola. This will give you a walk down the heart of downtown with the big buildings then around the lake, which is a nice stroll.
I would recommend you Taft, south of Sandlake and Orange ave. It is definitely on the “must see Orlando” list. The Taft Historical Society preserves the history of Taft area. It holds meetings every second Thursday of the month. You may stop by anytime to view the many artifacts displayed there.
Except for these great ideas above, do you have any comments want to add? Looking forward to your valuable advice!
