Raccoon Creek State Park | Hookstown, PA
We camped with some friends at Raccoon Creek State Park in Hookstown, PA. They have a wildflower reserve that contains one of the most diverse wildflowers in western PA. There are 44 miles of trails to hike on. There is a beach that you can swim and launch personal kayaks. They also have 101 acre lake that you can rent kayaks, rowboats or hydrobikes. You can fish for trout, panfish, bass, carp, or walleye. Make sure you check out the Frankfort Mineral Springs while you are there. You can rent cabins or stay at the Lakeside Lodge. There is al about 7k acres to hunting for small game, deer and turkey.
