Looking for a hike that feels haunted? Iron Goat Trails is the one.

If you like hikes that have a bit of history, Iron Goat Trail is a great one! This easy, mostly level hike is pretty heavily trafficked, so as always, I suggest going early to avoid the rush of people. It's out in beautiful Skykomish, in the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest.

This is an area with bears, so just keep that in mind. I carry bear spray, and you should too. We actually did see a mother bear and her cub about a 5 minute drive from the trailhead.

The Iron Goat Trail goes along the Old Great Northern Railroad grade. It was built in the late 1800s by Japanese immigrants. There are old collapsed train tunnels you can enter, they are safe now! But they sure have a haunted feel. And because you go underground slightly when you enter them, the temperature drops quite a bit. That adds to the haunted feel! It's dark, cold and creepy! Which is fun to me. I love an adventure!
