"We should anticipate, come September 2021, that schools should be full-fledged in person and all of our children back in the classroom," the CDC director told ABC News Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton during an Instagram Live conversation on ABC News.
Dr. Rochelle Walensky anticipates all kids should be back in school for the Fall 2021 school year. This doesn't mean that all stundets, teachers, faculty, etc.. will be vaccinated because they won't be.
At this point there are still a lot of uncertainities surrounding the vaccinations but that isn't the agenda being pushed. There are some prent swho want there kids back in school but there are also some parents who are against the idea of sending kids in to overcrowded schools to appease...well, frankly to appease people who aren't directly affected by these sorst of decisions.
Since teachers and kids have started returning to in-person learning, the concern over keeping the COVID cases low seems to no longer be an important piece of the narrative.
The narrative is now about pushing the vaccine onto those who are eligible.
Which if you are eligible for the vaccine and opt to get it, that's great. But let's not forget that we are still fighting a pandemic.
There are cases in which spme states cases have risen, again. Yet, they are continuosly pushing the stories about how many vaccines they've administered.
People aren't being informed properly because powerful people want the narrative around the pandemic to change.
I say, if you're going to rush kids and staff back into the classrooms at least inform them of the risks and give them the option, without threatening their jobs, to return or stay home.
