On Wednesday, Joe Biden addressed the House Democrat Caucus Issues Conference, held at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore.

Despite some difficulty in his delivery, the President shared remarks about a mother who tragically lost two sons to fentanyl poisoning.

The mother, Rebecca Kiessling, had previously criticized the federal government for prioritizing migrants during a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Tuesday.

Kiessling parted with her sons Caleb, 20, and Kyler, 18 due to fentanyl in July 2020.

The Post Millenial reports on Twitter:

HEART BREAKING: Mother who lost 2 of her sons to fentanyl testifies at border hearing.

During his speech, Joe Biden discussed the tragic story of a mother who lost her sons and placed part of the blame on Trump for the situation.

“A mom who lost two kids to fentanyl… that I killed her sons… well the interesting thing is, that fentanyl they took came during the last administration hahahaha!” Biden stated.

RNC Research reports on Twitter:

Yesterday, a mom who lost her two sons to fentanyl poisoning told her story. Today, Biden laughed about it.

Some Republicans claim that drug trafficking has increased because of the Biden administration's open border policies.

"Per federal source, Border Patrol has now seized over 800 lbs of fentanyl between ports of entry in the last 4 months. In the same time frame, CBP reports seizing at least 12,000 lbs of fentanyl at POEs since 10/1. DEA says 2.2 lbs = potentially 500,000 lethal doses," Bill Melugin said on Twitter.

Biden received a lot of backlash for his laugh.

"Listen to this mother, who lost two children to fentanyl poisoning, tell the truth about both of her son’s murders because of the Biden administration's refusal to secure our border and stop the Cartel from murdering Americans every day by fentanyl," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted.

"Shameful and embarrassing," Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., wrote under the video posted by the Republican National Committee.
