I have found my new Death Row last meal at La Generala . It's the Mega Pizza Quesadilla and you can chose up to 4 items off the menu to put inside. El Generala is one of my favorite new trucks in the city because of their asada and their very healthy servings. The Mother and Son Duo are changing the game there on the Westside and making a name for themselves in the city. No matter what you get from this truck you are going to leave satisfied. Be sure to check them out.

 I saw this monster taco and I knew I needed to conquer it. This breakfast taco (not a burrito- it’s folded not wrapped) from Teran's Restaurant consists of Bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheese, beans, Country and sausage and it’s a piece heaven. I was shocked that with all those ingredients that the taste flowed the way it did. If your not serious about your breakfast tacos stay away because this place is only for professionals.

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A PLACE WITH MORE THAN JUST TACOS, CHELA’S TACOS MEXICAN RESTAURANT IS YOUR PLACE. WITH 2 LOCATIONS AND A FOOD TRUCK IT’S A NO BRAINER AS TO WHY THEY’VE BEEN AROUND FOR 15 YEARS. WATCH AS I TAKE ON THE WHOLE MENU IN THIS EPISODE.

Carnitas Don Raul is serving up some of the best food I have ever eaten. The original restaurant was featured on Netflix: The Taco Chronicles first season for a reason. The carnitas that come out of this truck are juicy yet crispy and need nothing more than a corn tortilla to make a perfect taco. My pick off the menu is the Quesadilla Moreliana Style, this is truly one of the best dishes I have ever eaten.

Sometimes you have to head to the far Southside with your homies to get some of the best tacos in San Antonio. This week April & Tito joined me at one of the newest places in town, Taquitos El Jefe. Although they have only been open a short time, their food tastes like they are old pros. Serving up Pastor from a trompo, Birria con Consome, Tripas and much more. This place is a serious contender to all the Best Trucks in town.

RO-HO Pork & Bread has the Best Sandwich in Texas according to Food and Wine Maqazine. I see why this is their pick, everything is made from scratch and cooked to perfection by Chef Jorge Rojo. This spot has a very small menu with huge flavors and I recommend that anyone who loves to eat should visit.

I was looking for a late night spot that goes hard and decided to hit the street. I ended on St. Mary's Strip at MB El Sazon Norteño in front of the The Paper Tiger . MB El Sazon Norteño is doing it right Serving up quesadillas, street tacos and churros. Everything I had hit the spot but that churro though.

I FOUND THE SUN TODAY AND IT WAS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SA! MY BUDDY TITO TOOK ME TO HIS FAMILIES "GO TO TAQUERIA" AND IT'S NOW ONE OF MY FAVS. CHECK OUT THESE TACOS/TORTILLAS AND TRY NOT TO BE JEALOUS.

Welcome to Broadway News & Mister Diablos Taco Truck. This truck is legend status food due to their culinary traditions that they keep alive through their food. They have also won BEST TACOS in San Antonio multiple times and they are my wife's favorite (she is a very picky eater). If you are looking for traditional tacos of Al Pastor from a trompo then this is your spot. Buen Provecho. 

Mister Diablos Taco Truck

I went for a trip to the Windy City at lunch, right here in SA. Wise Guys A Chicago Eatery is serving up all the Eats Chicago & Philly have to offer. They even import the ingredients for these famous dishes to San Antonio. There is a wild card on their menu though, THE PHILLY CHEESE STEAK TACO! If your looking to change it up from Mexican food, this spot has you covered.

Welcome to Southtown San Antonio and to La Tuna Grill. If your looking for a restaurant with a big menu, food bursting with flavor and family tradition you have found it. This was my first visit to La Tuna Grill and I was very happy with everything I tried. I have found my new hidden gem in Southtown.

Laika Cheesecakes has combined 2 of my favorite things dishes, Cheesecake & Tacos. Although these are not traditional Tacos, these tacos rate high on my list for a favorite. They are not just creative but Laika has carefully crafted and put a lot of attention into the combination of flavors. If you have a sweet tooth I suggest you stop what you are doing and head to Laika now.

Welcome to Monterrey, Mexico in SATX. I had the opportunity to try this truck on Opening Night and I wasn't disappointed. All their tacos (yes I tried everyone they serve) were off the charts but their Frijoles Especiales are the best in town. Since this truck doesn't anchor you will have to check Social Media to catch them. Do not sleep on this truck, the food is way to good.

POLLO FELIZ TACOS, need I say more! Los Weyes de la Asada has a simple menu “El Chingon Taco” (Beef) or “El Mamón Taco” (Pollo Feliz) both of these tacos are full of flavor and made with lots of love. I tried both and I would recommend you do the same. These are the types of tacos that you crave the second you drive away.

Agave Azul has taken 2 of my favorite things Carne Guisada and Enchiladas and merged the 2 together. My mind is blown! This spot has very creative dishes and some of the most tender meat I have ever tasted. This is definitely a place that needs to be on everyones radar if your looking for great Tex Mex. I can't wait to go back.

Taking it back old school is an understatement when it comes to Longoria's. Their doors opened in 1941 and this place is not just full of flavor but of history as well. They are serving up all the old school classics like burgers, fried fish, tacos, milk shakes and so much more. This is by far one of my new favorite places in town.

I was on St. Mary’s Strip and decided to stop by and check out Chi Chi Birds. Do yourself a favor and go see Caleb, his chicken is on point and seasoned like no other I have ever tasted. I will definitely be putting Chi Chi Birds Taco on my list of regular places I frequent. This is definitely a food truck that I am going to try everything on the Menu.

On the street taco scene there is no other Taquero in town like John Eric from FAT BOY STREET TACOS. He sets up in his Taco Cart and cooks using a discada. His menu is simple, Beef or Chicken Street Tacos and his Speciality Beans. Don't let the simplicity fool you, his flavors are bold and his passion for serving up great food is impressive. I was blown away by his tacos and they completely exceeded my expectations.

San Antonio is filled with Taquerias but there are only a handful of staples. Pete's Tako House is just that, a staple that has been around for over 40 years. This spot is serving up some of the best tacos in town and their menu is a classic. I recommend anyone who has not tried Pete's Tako House to move it to the top of their list.
