6 of the Best Spots for National Cheeseburger Day

September 18th is National Cheeseburger Day, so how will you celebrate LA?!! Check out which spots are doing daily specials and where you should be cheesing it up every day.

Burgers Never Say Die

The pandemic has not been kind to this Smash Burger phenom, so do them a favor and go in and order two! The menu is simple with your choice between the Regular with cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickles, and onions and the Three Stack, which is much like the regular except it's got 3 stacks of meat.

Hours are 12 to 8 p.m., and you can preorder over the phone or through Doordash.

For the Win

Quickly becoming one of my favorite burgers, French bistro Papilles has created a daytime concept called For the Win, where you can get burgers, chicken sandwiches, and french fries. I recommend the Cheeseburger made with a quarter-pound of smashed grass-fed beef, grilled onions, pickles, and cheese on a Martin's potato bun ($9).

Open every day from Noon to 9 p.m. Call ahead for pick-up or dine-in like in the old days.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar (Playa Vista)

Available for one day only, Hopdoddy Burger Bar is serving the Cheese Louise! It's one beef patty filled with swiss cheese and topped with everything bagel cream cheese, shaved red onions, and served on a  and mayo on a jalapeno cheddar bun.

Please place an order ahead of time on their website. Hours on National Cheeseburger Day are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Flower Burger (Culver City)

National Cheeseburger Day doesn't have to be about the meat. Enjoy the original Flower Burger made with flower cheddar on a red kidney bean patty bun or a Cherry Bomb with a lentils patty and a pink bun. All ingredients are vegan-friendly.

Please place an order on their website for delivery, pickup, or dine at their ghost kitchen. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The Rooftop by JG (Beverly Hills)

When a burger in your car won't do, head to the Waldorf Astoria for lunch on the rooftop with a view of the hills of Beverly. In honor of the holiday, treat yourself to a Truffle Cheeseburger with brie, yuzu pickles, and black truffle aioli.

The rooftop is open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight on National Cheeseburger Day. Reservations are encouraged.

In-N-Out Burger (multiple)

One of the best burgers in Los Angeles also happens to be under $4. A Cheeseburger Animal Style is one way to tame a rough day at work or a night out! Find out the origin of the term "Animal Style" here.
