Ancient civilizations, their riddles, and their secrets... the setting for a heated debate.

Every time we try to figure out how to get to the answer, we fail. Another door opens... or rather, several doors open.

What is the backstory of these individuals?

Sites can appear from time to time. In other instances, traces, documents, and human remains have been discovered. More than that, some lines and sketches contain a hidden mystery.

Are these civilizations' people sending a message to us through this? We were informed that we were aware of something, but that we were unaware of other things. Let's immerse ourselves in the world of more intriguing civilizations and see what we find there.

The lines of Nazca. And then there are the enigmatic drawings.

My friends, today's article is all about the importance of lines. If you connect them, you will see some strange and amazing drawings. Drawings that sparked a heated debate amongst everyone who saw and analyzed them. The reason for drawing it, on the other hand, remains a mystery. There have been numerous attempts to build various hypotheses to explain them, with the result being...

Join me and my pals as we investigate the Nazca line enigma in Peru, which has sparked controversy.

The Nazca Lines are a sequence of ancient drawings engraved on rocks, which are referred to as "Geoglyphs" in scientific terms. They are located in the Nazca Desert in southern Peru and have been declared as a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) since 1994. Various sketches of various subjects are depicted in these lines. From drawings of plants and animals to geometric patterns and straight lines, and even one painting that experts compared to a spaceman, there was something for everyone. Keep this sketch in mind since we will discuss it in greater detail later in this article.

According to the researchers, these drawings are separated into around 800 straight lines. The "PanPas de Jumana" plateau stretches for approximately 48 kilometers over the landscape. In a very desolate setting, this establishment Geometrical designs ranging from triangles, rectangles, and other shapes to flowing lines and arrows are all possible. There are approximately 300 sketches, according to estimates. According to what has been revealed, nearly 70 drawings of animals and plants have been discovered. The animals and plants shown ranged from buzz birds to monkeys to whales to ducks to cactus plants to flowers and many more.

This group of pictures was discovered in 1926 by the Peruvian archaeologist "Toribio Mekhia," but he did not pay much attention to them for the simple reason that these drawings do not demonstrate their magnificence when viewed from the earth's perspective. As a result, the fact that these pictures drew the attention of the world was purely coincidental. In the year 1930, a commercial airplane passed over the location, and it was possible to examine the drawings in great detail. Following that, a succession of investigations and findings began.

In 1941, an American professor by the name of "Paul Kosok" discovered himself at the foot of one of these ridges. This finding occurred on the first day of summer, at a convenient time. After a long day, the professor noticed that the sun was directly perpendicular to the line he had discovered earlier in the day. Following that, the professor dubbed this site "the world's largest astronomy book."

The German scientist "Marie Reiche" paid a visit to the place in the same way that the American professor did, and she was equally as amazed by what she saw. Because of this, she spent more than four decades researching the site and living in a modest cottage near the desert, where she discovered the lines that would safeguard the artwork from neglect and sabotage. Then there were the trips by scientists and archaeologists to the region, which continued. The region then witnessed and continues to witness the visit of a substantial number of Western scientists and Peruvian archaeologists for the goals of research and discovery, beginning in the late 1960s and continuing to the present day. One of the most recent discoveries was made in 2011 by a group of Japanese academics who discovered a drawing that looked similar to a head-cutting.

In 2016, the same group discovered a drawing that was thought to be a representation of a legendary beast. Its body is covered with feet and dots, and it has several of them. This carving showed that the beast was poking his tongue out the side of his mouth.

An archaeology team from Peru stated in 2018 that they had uncovered more than 50 new drawings utilizing drones, with no apparent pattern to the drawings they discovered. Bringing the total number of drawings discovered to approximately 2400 different drawings is a significant achievement. Moving on, let's get to the meat of our investigation, which will consist of two key topics.

The first question to ask is who etched these lines on the wall.

Another question is, what is the purpose of these lines being engraved? And what is the goal of their existence?

These engravings did not appear by themselves and they can not be the consequence of weathering and erosion forces. As a result of the fact that they are just drawings of specific patterns. As a result, investigations into who drew these lines have commenced. The majority of scholars agree that these designs were etched by the Nazca civilization, who arrived in this desert thousands of years before the Inca people. Scientists have also speculated that the civilizations of Chavin and Bracas played a role in the etching of these drawings, which they believe to be true. And, more specifically, historians believe that this civilization occupied this area before the civilization of the Nazca lines.

Because this culture, according to the study, dates back between 900 and 200 BC. According to anthropologists, this civilization began in 100 BC and reached its zenith during the first two years of the first millennium and 700 A.D.

Of course, experts have deduced this from the traces that have been discovered, whether it was a pottery residue that has been confirmed to be from that era, or from tombs that have been discovered in the vicinity of these pictures, which indicate that they date back to this civilization. Do you recall the drawing that was unearthed in 2011 and depicted the decapitation of a human head?

So, there you have it!

According to archaeological evidence, the Nazca people were well-known for collecting skulls as trophies on their hunting expeditions. Yes, as you've probably heard, but more than that, this Japanese group discovered a tomb for this culture in 2009, two years before the discovery of the picture.

What is puzzling is that skulls were discovered buried adjacent to whole bones, even though no bodies had been discovered. Each of these skulls represents a trophy that the buried person has won over his or her life, and they were buried alongside him or her.

Another possibility has been advanced in regards to who etched these lines.

Can you guess who I'm talking about?

Yes, my friends, it is the extraterrestrials!

As is customary in the case of every strange discovery, the theory of extraterrestrials is incorporated into its explanation. Supporters of this view feel that the drawing of the spaceman, which we discussed before, represents a significant advancement. In this case, how is it feasible for individuals who engraved these ancient paintings to be aware of the existence of contemporary astronauts?

Afterward, more advanced animals carved these drawings on the rock surface. Of course, the scientists who investigated this issue found this notion to be false. Because, first and foremost, they believe that there are no such things as aliens. For the second time, the inscription does not have to be in the style of a spaceman. Since ancient civilizations praised a plethora of gods who are currently unknown to science, and this inscription may be one of those gods. Let us assume that the Nazca culture carved these designs, which would be highly probable. But why is this so? What is the function of these individuals? In addition, is it a sign of anything in particular?

Before I tell you about the findings of the research conducted to determine the purpose of these drawings, let me tell you about the process by which they were engraved.

By research, the ground in this dry area is covered with gravel, which is then covered with a coating of iron oxide. To disclose a lighter colored layer underneath, the ancients removed around 12 to 15 inches of rock from this location.

According to the researchers, the locals began by engraving little drawings and then steadily increased the size of their engravings until they reached the largest engravings. These drawings couldn't be changed by the passage of time because this place was not exposed to elements such as rain, wind, weather, and erosion.

But why did they draw these inscriptions, you might wonder?

Early investigations undertaken by American Professor "Kosk" and German Professor "Marie Reiche" established a link between these pictures and astronomy, and this research indicated that these designs represent an indication of the winter solstice or summer solstice, depending on where you live. Furthermore, according to research published by the German scientist "Marie Reiche," animal inscriptions are indications of star groups in the sky. These theories were believed and adopted until the beginning of 1970, when other scientists, including American astronomer "Gerald Hawkins," studied these drawings and came to the conclusion that these drawings had nothing to do with star groups in the sky. As a result, they are traveling in completely random directions!

Furthermore, 19 of these lines are the only ones that are related to the winter solstice, which is a rare occurrence. What sparked the investigation once more, but this time the element of water was incorporated into the explanations. How? Concentrate on this.

In order to compensate for the scarcity of rain, which, according to weather scientists, was only available for 20 minutes per day throughout the year, this civilization regarded water as the most valuable component at the time. What prompted scientists to begin with two possible explanations? According to geological researcher "Johan Reinhard," the first is that these drawings, particularly the lines and geometric shapes, all indicate the sources of water that were collected from the rain or that the inhabitants of this civilization were collecting in order to survive these difficult circumstances. Another theory proposed by "Reinhard" and supported by two other scientists, "Anthony Aveni" and "Helen Silverman," is that the universe is made up of a series of spheres.

Similarly to the previous theory, this one is linked to water, but it also includes rituals of worship. In accordance with this theory, some of these geometric forms can accommodate a large number of people and can facilitate the entry and exit of these populations in a manner similar to that of religious rituals, which scientists have linked to prayers or spiritual dances held for God in order to send rain. The inclusion of drawings of plants and animals that have nothing to do with the region only served to strengthen this hypothesis. Consequently, the majority of the drawings depicted creatures found in the area and rainforests, particularly birds and monkeys, leading scientists to believe that these drawings represented the arrival of the birds that the inhabitants of the region had been anticipating in the belief that they would bring rain with them.

It has been demonstrated by scientists that the connection between these drawings and inscriptions that have been discovered from civilizations that followed this civilization, the Inca and others, demonstrated a connection with water. Since spiders are a sign of rain, and hummingbirds are a sign of the fertility of the soil, and the monkey is one of the animals that can be found in the Amazon rainforest, it is important to recognize the signs of these animals.

More than that, scientists believe that these drawings were once part of a pilgrimage to some ancient civilizations, which would explain their existence. Professor "Reinhard" asserts that despite all of these studies, there is still no definitive answer as to whether or not these drawings can be considered the decisive answer. However, the combination of geological, archaeological, and historical studies has given these hypotheses a degree of realism that they did not have before. The lack of water, according to scientists, may have been the primary reason for either the extinction of this civilization or the exodus of the population from this region in search of areas that are not dry and therefore scattered in more than one location, effectively bringing the Nazca civilization in its ancient form to a close. To survive the traces of this ancient civilization, what is considered to be one of the largest paintings in the world has survived, and it has been compared by all who have seen it to a large school board covered with drawings made with white chalk.

So, my friends, that's what we were able to learn about the Nazca lines from our investigation.

These surprising lines, combined with all of the drawings, created a search window for scientists, who may yet be able to answer the questions that remain unanswered. Did the Nazca civilization and the civilizations that came before it really engrave such a large number of drawings in such a difficult geographical location, all pointing in different directions, in this difficult geographical spot?

Or, as some claim, did extraterrestrials play a role?

And what, exactly, was the motivation behind the engraving of these illustrations?

Are they truly able to predict the days and seasons, even to a small degree, because of astronomical calculations?

Do you believe that water and its scarcity have had the greatest impact on those who live in that region, and that the need for water has prompted them to create these drawings in order to appease the gods in accordance with their religious beliefs and to respond to what they wish for?

Or is there another explanation for the mysteries and secrets of ancient times and civilizations, which we can only guess at based on some hypotheses?!

No one has any idea!!
