The Maxx You Project has touched the lives of more than 160,000 women across the country
A July 2021 survey commissioned by T.J.Maxx uncovered that 65% of women have new priorities coming out of the pandemic, according to MullenLowe U.S.
According to T.J. Maxx, Find Your Maxx helps women in prioritizing themselves and their goals – unapologetically. T.J.Maxx is committed to supporting women in being their most authentic selves and believes they should be able to do so without making compromises. A lack of resources or fear of not being perfect are barriers that stand in the way of ambitious women wanting to pursue their dreams, whether that means taking their creative expression to the next level or getting their side hustle off the ground, or anything in between.
One lucky grand prize winner will receive the mentorship of a lifetime with Emmy-nominated actress, comedian, and writer — Yvonne Orji and $50,000 in starter funds to help propel them toward their Maxx self.” According to contest rules, entries must be received by August 26 at 11:59 PM EST. Yvonne knows first-hand what it’s like to commit to herself unapologetically. After discovering her passion for stand-up comedy while in graduate school, she altered her plans of becoming a doctor to pursue her dreams. That’s why Yvonne is helping her mentee kick-start the process of finding her Maxx via one-on-one sessions and inspiring women everywhere to do the same.
In a recent interview with Yvonne, she talked about the positive impact a mentor had on her personal and professional development. Yvonne shared that she learned it was ok to be proud of her talents and own her differences. She realized that she could get things done by focusing on her abilities. Coupled with advice from her mother, a nurse of twenty-seven years, she taught Yvonne to be kind to the people she would meet on the way up in her journey through life and career.
The Maxx You Project began in 2017 as T.J.Maxx’s ongoing initiative dedicated to helping women pursue their most authentic lives. Since its inception, The Maxx You Project has touched the lives of more than 160,000 women across the country through interactive experiences and programming that encourages women to be their most unapologetic selves, T.J. Maxx said in a statement.
“As someone who is committed to discovering the best version of myself, I’m excited to join the Find Your Maxx with T.J.Maxx campaign, not only to encourage women to support and empower one another, but also for women to embrace their most unapologetic selves,” said Yvonne Orji.
