R 32 Retirement | MTA to Retire 1960's Trains | Last Ride of the Brightliners | New York City Subway
Hello Everyone! Happy New Year! The MTA announced that after 58 years of service, the R-32s nicknamed the Brightliners – among the oldest subway cars to operate in the world – will officially retire from service. You still have last chance to see these subway cars in service: on January 9th, 2022 the R-32 will be servicing "Q" line from Brighton Beach in Brooklyn to 96th street in Manhattan. To catch this train in Brighton Beach, be there at: 10:00a.m., 12:30pm, 3:00p.m., 5:30pm, If you want to catch this train at 96th street, be there at: 11:00a.m., 1:30p.m., 4:00p.m., 6:30p.m. Enjoy the ride!
