If you live in Orlando, you probably love visiting the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. One of the best parts is definitely the number of restaurants they have. Today, I will give a brief introduction to all the dining locations on Main Street within the Magic Kingdom.
The first dining location nearest the entrance is Tony’s Town Square Restaurant which is just on your right as your enter the park. This Italian Table Service Restaurant is named after the restaurant featured in the Disney classic, Lady and the Tramp, with plenty of décor celebrating the movie. It has a full Italian menu with plenty of pizzas and pasta dishes, but you’ve got to try the spaghetti and meatballs for that authentic Tony’s experience.
If you are in need of some caffeine, then you can head to the Main Street Bakery, which is the park’s Starbucks location. Expect to find all your favorite Starbucks offerings as well as some exclusive merchandise and pastries. It has a pleasant décor that fits in perfectly with Main Street USA and is usually my first stop when entering the Magic Kingdom!
Next door to the Main Street Bakery is the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, which is a great place to grab a delicious frozen snack on a hot day. They serve cones, sundaes and ice cream floats all using amazing hand-scooped ice cream. They are huge portions, so are great to share with your family and friends and I usually go for the Brownie Sundae with hot fudge because if you’re going to treat yourself, you may as well go all out!
Right behind the Ice Cream Parlor at the end of Main Street is the Plaza Restaurant, another table service restaurant that serves classic American cuisine like meatloaf, burgers and sandwiches. It is nicely decorated with turn of the century decals and offers an amazing view of the castle while you dine. They also serve desserts and ice cream from the parlor next door.
On the other side of Main Street USA is Casey’s Corner, named after the famous poem, Casey at the bat, which of course means it’s baseball themed and serves all your favorite ballpark foods including foot long hotdogs and their famous corn dog nuggets. It’s a great place to grab a quick lunch or a light dinner before heading to the shops or your next attraction.
The final dining location in Main Street USA is the Crystal Palace Restaurant that offers character dining buffets. In my family, we have a tradition of going to the Crystal Palace for a breakfast buffet on the first morning of our Disney vacation. It’s a great way to start your trip, and if you make an early enough reservation, you could enter the park before the gates of the Magic Kingdom officially opens, which will give you some time to get some great photos of an empty Main Street USA or the perfect selfie with Cinderella’s castle! They serve classic American food, so expect pancakes, eggs, bacon and an assortment of other delicious breakfast items during the breakfast buffet and for lunch and dinner you can find a selection of delicious meats, fish and vegetables as well as a full wine and beer menu.
So that wraps up all the dining locations on the Main Street in Magic Kingdom. Let me know which restaurants you have tried before, and share your favorite dishes in a comment down below.
