An intriguing Virtual Experience, Uncovering Pompei!

My family and I love to travel to different parts of the world, but at the moment, we are trying to avoid travelling much due to the threat posed by the pandemic. However, thanks to Airbnb, due to their splendid collections of online experiences, we haven’t been found wanting all this time.

So last week, my wife and I took attended an online experience that found us uncover Pompei with an Archeologist. It was indeed a great escape from the Lockdown into ancient Roman times.

At the online experience, our host educated us regarding the city's history from the beginning to the eruption and then to the discovery.

It was a scintillating experience learning a whole lot about the ancient city. Since I am fond of historic sites and ancient civilizations, this was by far the best online experience I have had at Airbnb.

Moreover, we also visited some historical places such as the Amphitheatre, which is basically the Roman Gladiator Stadium, the Thermopolium, which is a Roman Snack Bar, and the Forum. This visit really helped us develop an interest in Roman history, and we will surely have an offline visit to this place soon enough.

The entire virtual tour was nicely planned and executed by our host Roberto. He made sure to grab all our attention with the details and history of the place, which made it feel like more than an hour experience.

If you love to witness historic sites or visit different parts of the world, then I suggest you experience this virtual tour; It will work as a catalyst leading you to Pompei someday soon!
